A Digital Britain for Everyone

The development of a “Digital Britain” could transform the way public services are provided and establish the UK as a leading knowledge-based economy of the future. Yet despite the proposed introduction of a contentious fixed line levy and provision of computers to low-income families, there remain significant challenges to supporting financial inclusion, independent living, education and small business growth through investment in digital infrastructure. Broadband access and ICT skills for all will not be delivered easily.
