On January 22nd 2009 a meeting of the steering group took place in the town hall of Osterholz-Scharmbeck concerning the Smart Cities project. The meeting was about how to proceed the upcoming project activities.
Main topics were development of new online services and of the portal. During the meeting the participants were able to exchange many ideas, especially how to involve and engage the citizens of Osterholz in terms of development of future strategies.

Furthermore, the international project meeting (02. - 04. March 2009) was discussed and prepared. The meeting named "Creating smarter Cities" is for exchange of experiences and best practices between the project partners. Thereby Osterholz-Scharmbeck has the possibility to participate and profit from the experiences of the other project partners and adapt them to own intentions.
