New homepage for Kings Lynn in Norfolk

kingslynnhomepage.PNG

The third Homepage was launched in Kings Lynn (Norfolk County). We have also been preparing for the evaluation of the HomePage project by the Plunkett Foundation. A visit takes place on July 28th where they will talk to NCC staff and community groups. An online questionnaire is on the three web pages for the public and voluntary groups.

Planning is under way for the final eight months of the HomePage project which will include:
• transferring more than 100 parish council websites to the same platform as Norfolk HomePage so they can add rss feeds and other features
• Developing and delivering train the trainer and end user training for parishes, community groups and councillors in how to set up or enhance websites so they can be linked together more easily via HomePages or simply links to each other and sites like Facebook, YouTube etc
• Producing marketing material to persuade the digitally excluded to get online and sponsoring a business event to encourage them to make the most of the internet
• Developing NCC information on things like services, spend, committee reports and decisions, social data etc. so it can be re-used by SME's and community organisations and fed to local HomePages
