The PUBLICA consumer fair is today one of the major fairs for consumer in the whole region of Elbe-Weser. Yearly about 50.000 visitors from the whole county, Bremen, Bremerhaven and Hamburg visit this fair. The PUBLICA offers a mixture of different businesses – craft, trade and innovative services / companies.

The Smart Cities partners are together in Osterholz-Scharmbeck to discuss the creation of a EU product service list and to exchange experience on contact centres. An evaluation framework presented by Edinburgh Napier University will keep track of the outcome and the value of the Smart Cities work.

The German cities of Osterholz-Scharmbeck and Oldenburg welcome the Smart Cities partners on 7-8 September. Workshops on product catalogues, evaluation and contact centres will be combined with study visits and informal meetings.

The online survey concerning the redesign of Osterholz-Scharmbeck’s web presence is available since April 21st 2009 in the German Smart Cities website.
Background of the survey is to improve the city’s web presence. Target is to minimize e.g. ways to public authorities and to provide citizens and other interested groups new services, information and offers from the region.
