The I-scan is an instrument to detect the balance between IT and governance : in other words how is the IT-department integrated in the organisation ? A second issue is the implementation of an inquiry into egov at the local level.
The I-scan is an instrument to detect the balance between IT and governance : in other words how is the IT-department integrated in the organisation ? A second issue is the implementation of an inquiry into egov at the local level.
The I-scan aims at :
1. defining state of the art of within the organisation
2. defining future actions /incentives
The i-scan instrument is based on the interoperability scheme of Tambouris
The I-scan will be executed by Hogent (Hogeschool Gent) and focuses on the link between IT and the organisation : what is the degree to which the local government succeeds in fine tuning its organisation and IT. The I-scan is based on the interoperability scheme of Tambouris, as well on the technical level as on the semantic (significance and use of data) and organisational level (process analysis). Main focus are the features of governance: what is the relation between the organisational features, the management of the organisation and the interoperability?
Our organisation is a pilot case for the I-scan together with a few other major cities (e.g. Mechelen).
