On December 15th and 16th, Smart Cities will be present at the Main Conference in Brussels on December 15th and 16th, with an exhibition on the North Sea Region Programme and the Smart Cities work. Apart from this, the City of Kortrijk and Intercommunale Leiedal show their local work to the EU audience attending the conference.
The Conference in Brussels will be opened by Herman Van Rompuy, Europe’s first President. He will present Europe’s 2010 Strategy. Mr Van Rompuy will not be the only important guest speaker at this Conference. The same morning, European Commissioner Neelie Smit-Kroes has been invited to talk about the i2015 Action Plan. Both speakers are but the first of a long list of visionaries, CEO’s, top officials and other speakers who will be talking at the major plenary and the many break-out sessions of this Conference.
